District Priority Goals

Large organizations, just like individuals, have goals and objectives. In order to achieve their mission, the leadership team sets benchmarks in front of them that serve to guide their efforts and monitor their progress toward each goals.

Job applicants must understand that this process - the job search - is not about themselves. Instead, it is more about the district. The employer will be seeking to identify and hire the individual who can help the district the most to meet its objectives. The district will consider its needs and wants first.

Knowing that, applicants are advised to research the districts' needs. Learn what is important to them and what is going well. And learn what challenges they face and what their priority goals are. Read each district's mission statement and goals in the current strategic plan. Learn what you can about the planning and implementation of key action steps (strategies, programs, initiatives, funding streams, etc.) in each district that are believed to help the district to achieve its objectives.

Every district hopes to hire a perfect match! The screening and interview process will identify one applicant who they believe will help the district to meet its goals the most. In order to be considered as a finalist, you must be seen as the solution they are looking for.

And so, in order to be there in the end, you must learn what you can about each district's goals in the beginning. Their priority goals and how you can achieve them must be visibly evident in your application materials!

We should discuss this further. Professional consultation is free for every Client who purchases any Product or Service. Our Coach will be pleased to hear your Story and work with you to develop a job search strategy that meets your objectives.
